Dormitory Life

Hi y'all! How are things with you? It's been great, isn't it? I actually do wanna share this lovable experience I can only get from living in a dorm.

In a dormitory, especially SCHOOL DORMITORY, we're not only forced to be good in academic life, but also in social life. Here in my High School, there are so many girls from all over Indonesia such as Medan, Indramayu, Depok, Serang, Merauke, and many more. Of course they have a very different culture and customs with the ones who come from Java or the real Javanese people. But actually it is what makes us very solid in friendship.
Well I'll tell you first about my school. It is named as Semesta Bilingual Boarding School. The school is available from the Junior High until Senior High. The dorm is separated into girls' and boys'. So because I'm a girl, of course now I'm staying at girls' dorm. There's so many bittersweets of living at dorm. Start from the simplest one like when we pushed ourselves to hide our sadness or homesickness but in fact that it is still shown in our innocent face when we first entered this school, and the most complex one such as when a senior picked on us about the thing that is definitely unimportant just because we're his juniors, and etc.
But what I've said isn't finally be the cause of problems at school. The case about seniority had closed since a long time ago and both we and them is just fine right now.
Living in a dorm in my view can bring negative effects, and also positive effects. The positive effects are:
1. Even though we're good in academic skills, doesn't mean that we're unsociable people.
2. We have learned about how to face life in a proper way
3. We understand about how to solve problems by discussing; as written in our UUD 1945
4. We learn over small things until the biggest ones everyday
5. Laziness is only for those who don't want to reach their goals
6. Studying is universal, we don't just study from books, but also from others
7. We learn how to share with others about our own experiences, share our foods, and so on
8. We have known how to respect teachers as our second mothers and how to be discipline
9. Religion is all that matters in our life because without it, we're nothing
10. UNITY IN DIVERSITY

aaand....
I can only give you 5 negative effects about living at dormitory...
1. Less time to gather with family
2. They said 'you're not enjoying your life as a youngster' (but it is not a big deal for us)
3. Living with the same gender increases the awkwardness for both boys and girls while meet the opposite gender(?)
4. Too many rules to be obeyed (THIS IS MADE FOR OUR OWN GOOD ACTUALLY)
5. Homesickness are often be so annoying(I'm telling the truth)

Well guys, girls, cabe(s), terong(s), whoever you are, I'm glad I can share this thing to all of you. I'm hoping so much that you'll begin writing many posts on your own blogs to fill the time.
